Service FAQ

What plant managers ask before they sign

For a question that is not here, call us on 01226868496, or write it in the details field of the request form.

Are the workers on our payroll or yours?

Entirely on the ECS payroll, which is the employer in legal terms: the contract, the insurance registration, the wages and the tax all sit within its scope. What reaches the plant is operating capacity on site and a single monthly invoice.

What determines how long it takes to supply a new team?

The size of the team first, then the nature of the roles: those that need licences or special training take longer. The period is counted from approval of the quotation, not from the first call.

What happens if a worker is absent or leaves?

Continuity on the line is managed through a standby workforce trained on the same line, so production does not stop while a replacement is found.

Can headcount rise in the season and then come back down?

Yes. The contract rests on a fixed minimum, and sets out the rules for raising the number before the season and returning to the minimum afterwards.

Who handles a Labour Office or insurance inspection?

Because ECS is the legal employer of this workforce, an inspection or a claim relating to it is directed to ECS, which is the party that represents it and produces its documents.
